Restriction Cascade for Confluence: Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This policy explains what data the Restriction Cascade for Confluence app ("the app") handles and how. The app is published by Joe Simo ("we"). Contact: joesimo@mail.grokbot.com.

Where the app runs

The app is built on Atlassian Forge and runs entirely on Atlassian's infrastructure. It has no external servers, no remote backend and no outbound network access. We, the publisher, cannot see or download your Confluence content or anything the app stores. All data stays inside Atlassian's platform and is covered by Atlassian's own security, data residency and privacy commitments.

Data the app reads

To do its job the app reads, through the Confluence API:

The app does not read page bodies, attachments, comments or labels.

Data the app stores

The app stores the following in Forge storage, which is hosted by Atlassian and scoped to your site:

Job records, undo data, the activity log and reports are deleted automatically after 30 days. Inheritance rules are kept until an admin deletes them or the app is uninstalled. When the app is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes its stored data according to the Forge data retention policy.

Data we collect

None. The app sends no analytics, telemetry or tracking data to us or to any third party, and it uses no cookies.

Sharing

We do not sell, share or transfer any data. We have no access to it.

Support requests

If you email us for support, we use your email and anything you choose to send only to answer you. Please do not send personal data or page content that we do not need.

Children

The app is a business tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and the copy linked from the Marketplace listing.
